70 or 55 loop
Greenlands Farm Village Tewitfield Carnforth Lancashire LA6 1JH
These routes has been specially designed to take in some of the best Bowland roads. With climbs of Jubilee Tower, The Trough, Waddington Fell and Tatham Fell. Riders will have plenty of time to look at the beauty of this over looked area. 1200m of accent does give way to some fast fun descents on classic cycling roads.
NEW for 2017 a slightly shorter route covering 55 miles
Greenlands Farm can be found just off of junction 35 of the M6. A great family friendly venue with cafe, soft play center and of course the farm. Registration is from 07.30 up stairs in the cafe and starts will be from 08:00. Riders will be set off in groups of 20 at 5 minute intervals.
The routes are all way marked and a route card is given to every competitor at Registration. With support out on the course with mobile first aiders and there will be a sweep vehicle provided by Wheelbase and pre ride bike checks also possible from qualified mechanics.
Included in the ride is a timed hill climb from Quernmore to Jubilee Tower. Supported by Wheelbase the fastest male and female up the 1.87 mile climb will receive a riders jersey and the title king of the Mountain.
Roughly half way for both routes, a chance to re fuel with tea and toast and probably a few sweet treats too.
RIDERS INFORMATION will be linked closer to the event
Good as my word I said I’d be back for this again.
My God it seems to get harder each year!! Finished my third Tough Trough this year ( think I may have come last or thereabouts 😂)
Again I have to thank you and your team. The signage is excellent, the feed station well stocked and run by friendly, helpful folk, as were you and all involved.
I’m sure that’s the reason I keep coming back 😊 ( it’s not for the hills😂)
Again many thanks
