Wensleydale Tri Success

The British weather showed its aggression Saturday which resulted in the Semer Water swim being cancelled for safety reasons. The strong winds pushed down the valley which caused paddlers to wobble and white horses to break in the middle of the Lake. To those swimmers who made the journey we thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you next year at Coniston or Semer Water.

The weather did soften for the start of the triathlon on the Sunday and the challenging swim didn’t deter the determination of those athletes. The bike route beautifully brutal was handled with care and respect and all made it back to Hawes to complete the next climb up Shunner Fell. Conditions under foot were at stages boggy but visibility remained good for the majority.

Congratulations to all those who took part this weekend and thank you for your support.

Thank you to the team without this event could not take place.
