Capernwray Dive Centre, Jackdaw Quarry, Capernwray Road, Lancashire, LA6 1AD
We are looking for 21 swimmers to swim a mile each in support of local swimmer Kerry Oldfield. Kerry has passed selection and has secured a place on a 6 person relay team attempting to swim the Channel in July 2014.
The Channel swim is regarded by many as the “Everest” of swimming. Swimming the Channel is one of the world’s toughest challenges.
To enable Kerry to participate in this challenge she has to raise £2000 for Aspire. Aspire is a charity that supports people with spinal injuries. Their aim is simple to help people regain independence after suffering from spinal damage. This could be help with housing alongside practical help and advice. Aspire also have a fantastic program that enable those with disabilities to become fitness instructors. So join our team and help make a difference to other people’s lives. ENTER NOW
Each swimmer will receive a race memento and a timed mile swim in the clear waters at Capernwray.
