Experience the clear water of Capernwray Dive centre at night.
Starting with a rocket swimmers can race or leisurely complete one lap (500m) of the quarry. This should be long enough for you to experience the beauty of night swimming in the safe secure surroundings of the quarry.You will be issued with glow sticks one for your wetsuit and one for your goggle strap. The safety canoeists will be well lit up and even the buoys will have lights to guide you round the 500m circuit.
Due to the popularity we have decided to start two waves of swimmers off, this should ensure for a pleasant swim. Everyone completing the event will be electronically timed and awarded their GLOW in the dark medal.
Numbers and swim hats will be issued at registration (from 17:30 in the room above the cafe.)
The dive centre is a family friendly venue with great catering facilities so bring the family and enjoy the firework display together.
Wet suits are recommended but not compulsory. Wet Suit hire is available upon request. Email tasha@mytrievents with your height and weight to reserve your suit. Just £10 per hire.
Children under the age of 16 can swim with parental consent. There is no upper age limit!
